chutney

it's time to make some chutney
from apples that I found
not the ones so nicely picked
but the windfalls from the ground

so I washed the apples
and diced so carefully
placed then in the pot
sprinkling sugar liberally

as the heat began to rise
stirring with out stop
then all the dying maggots
started floating to the top

Tis time to eat my chutney
I could eat it without stop
not the muck I threw away
but fresh stuff from the shop
