a poet writes
In garret high on bitter fruit
a poet writes and wasted youth
with words not of loving pursuit
but against the mighty seeking truth
as anger and resentment flow
the corrupted seek the poetic ire
and money passed that they should know
to seize and snuff that patriotic fire
there is a blue plaque on the wall
years since the disappearance
where the poet wrote defying all
rehabilitated by inference
